How to Swap XMR to USDC

Swapping Monero for USDC changes both the asset you hold and the network on which you hold it. USDC is designed to track the US dollar, while XMR has a floating market price. The conversion can be useful when you need a dollar-denominated token for a payment or an application, but receiving the token on the wrong blockchain can defeat that purpose.

Open the XMR to USDC exchange page and check the available payout networks. Choose the destination network before copying an address or comparing the quote.

USDC is a token on a specific blockchain

The same USDC ticker appears on multiple networks. A recipient expecting USDC on one chain may not credit it on another, even where the wallet address has the same format. Match three things: the asset, the blockchain and the receiving platform's deposit instructions.

Native USDC and bridged representations should not be treated as interchangeable. A platform that accepts native USDC may not accept a bridged token with a similar name. Circle publishes official USDC contract addresses for identifying its deployments. Those are token identifiers, not personal deposit addresses; never paste a token contract into the recipient field.

Use only a payout network offered by the current Swapuz order and accepted by your recipient. A network's existence in Circle's documentation does not establish that it is available for this particular exchange.

Prepare for receiving and later spending

Open the receive screen for USDC in your wallet or custodial account. Select the intended network there and check for a minimum deposit or any extra recipient instructions. If the funds are for an application, confirm which USDC deployment that application uses.

You may also need the destination network's native gas asset to move the USDC later. Receiving a stablecoin does not necessarily leave you with the ETH, SOL or other native asset needed for a subsequent transaction. Work out that next step before funding an otherwise correct swap.

In your Monero wallet, make sure the balance is unlocked and that you can send the required deposit amount after paying the XMR network fee.

How to convert XMR to USDC

  1. Set XMR as the sending asset and USDC as the receiving asset. Select the USDC network required by the destination.
  2. Enter the XMR amount and review the net USDC payout. Check the minimum and any conditions shown in the form.
  3. Copy the recipient address from the matching USDC receive screen. Verify it again after pasting, along with any required extra information.
  4. Review the order and rate option, save the exchange ID and send XMR to the Monero deposit address generated for that order.
  5. Track the exchange and inspect the payout on the selected blockchain. Check the correct USDC balance in your wallet or receiving account.

The Swapuz exchange guide describes network selection and the order screens. A payout network mismatch is not something to solve by sending another deposit.

Understanding the XMR to USDC quote

USDC's dollar reference does not fix the XMR to USDC exchange rate. XMR's market price, the route and the quote's costs still affect how many tokens you receive. If a floating rate is selected, the final amount can change before the conversion is completed.

A fixed rate, when offered, remains subject to its stated deposit conditions. Compare the final receiving amount, and account separately for the fee your Monero wallet charges to send the deposit. Avoid treating one quoted XMR value as a permanent conversion rate.

USDC is also not the same as a bank deposit. Holding it brings issuer, network and market risks, and its market price can deviate from one dollar. The swap converts cryptocurrency into a token; it does not send dollars to a bank account.

Common questions

Can I receive USDC at my Monero address?

No. The receiving address must support USDC on the chosen payout network. Your Monero wallet supplies the XMR deposit, not the USDC destination.

The transaction completed, but USDC is missing from my wallet. Why?

Check the network first, then the token displayed by the wallet. Use the order's payout details and the official token identifier. For a custodial deposit, ask the receiving service about crediting; contact Swapuz support for order issues.

Is XMR to USDC a withdrawal to cash?

No. Cash redemption or a bank transfer requires a separate service and its eligibility checks. This order pays cryptocurrency to a blockchain address.

Are there verification requirements?

An order may be subject to AML/KYC checks under the Swapuz Terms of Use.
