How to Swap XMR to BNB

Monero can hold value privately, but it cannot pay the gas fee for a transaction on BNB Smart Chain. If your next step is to use an application there, you need BNB in a wallet on the correct network. An XMR to BNB swap converts part of your Monero balance into that native asset.

You can start from the XMR to BNB exchange page. Before sending anything, check the receiving network and the quoted BNB amount. A familiar wallet address is not enough to identify a blockchain.

Choose the BNB network before the address

BNB Smart Chain and opBNB are different networks. A wallet may display the same 0x address on both, while showing different balances. Select the network supported by your receiving wallet and offered in the current Swapuz quote; do not assume a BNB payout automatically reaches whichever network your wallet currently displays.

For a BNB Smart Chain application, native BNB on BNB Smart Chain is the relevant gas asset. Wrapped BNB is a token representation with a separate role. If an application asks for WBNB, receiving native BNB and wrapping it later is a different operation from the initial exchange.

The BNB Smart Chain documentation explains the network and its applications. Use official wallet network settings, and avoid selecting a network solely because its address format looks right.

Prepare both wallets

Open your Monero wallet and let it finish synchronizing. Check the amount available to spend, allowing for the XMR transaction fee. A recently received balance may not yet be unlocked, so creating a time-limited exchange before it becomes spendable can cause an avoidable delay.

In your receiving wallet, open BNB on the intended network and copy its receive address. For an exchange deposit, use the platform's current deposit instructions instead. Confirm that deposits are enabled and that the expected payout clears any minimum credit amount.

How to exchange XMR for BNB on Swapuz

  1. Open the pair page and confirm that XMR is the asset you send and BNB is the asset you receive. Select the payout network deliberately.
  2. Enter your XMR amount. Compare the net BNB payout and the available rate options rather than judging the quote by a headline price alone.
  3. Paste the receiving address and review the order details. Check the first and last characters against the wallet's receive screen.
  4. Create the order and save its exchange ID. Send the requested XMR amount to the Monero deposit address shown for that order, within the stated conditions.
  5. Follow the order through confirmation, exchange and payout. Open the receiving wallet on the same network and compare the received BNB with the completed order.

The Swapuz exchange guide explains the screens. Keep the order page available until the payout is confirmed.

Compare cost with the amount of BNB you need

The useful question is how much spendable BNB reaches your wallet. Your Monero wallet charges a network fee to send XMR; the exchange quote determines the BNB payout. Read the displayed fee information and leave enough XMR to fund the deposit correctly.

If a fixed quote is available, its deadline and deposit conditions still apply. A floating quote can change while the deposit is being confirmed. Neither option protects the value of BNB after the exchange is complete.

Keep some native BNB available for later transactions instead of committing the entire balance to an application. Receiving BNB does not itself approve any smart contract or enroll you in a staking product.

Common questions

My order is complete, but my wallet shows no BNB. What should I check?

First check the payout network and destination address. A completed BNB Smart Chain transfer will not appear as an opBNB balance. Use the payout transaction details from the order; if they disagree with what you expected, contact Swapuz support with the exchange ID.

Can I send XMR straight to a BNB address?

No. Send XMR only to the order's Monero deposit address. Swapuz handles the conversion and sends the resulting BNB to the separate receiving address.

Does this make the BNB payout private?

No. Activity on BNB Smart Chain is public. Monero's privacy properties do not transfer to the destination blockchain, and an exchange is not a guarantee of anonymity.

Is identity verification impossible without an account?

No. The Swapuz Terms of Use describe AML/KYC checks that may apply to an order. Read them before funding a swap.
